Curriculum Vitae

My name is Iris Weingartner and. I’m an Austrian pianist. In the age of 8 years I received my fist piano lessons by Mag. Valerie Houdjakov. I particpated in and won several competitions, like "Jugend musiziert", "Jugend für Mozart", Friederike Urz-Klavierwettbewerb and several competitions of the Vienna music schools at the Wiener Konzerthaus. Also I received piano lessons by Mr. Robert Lehrbaumer und Mrs. Prof. Viktorie Švihliková.

At the “Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst” in Vienna I studied IGP I and finished IGP II by Mrs. Mag. Fleischmann. Furthermore I attended master classes given by Roland Batik, Jacob Lateiner, Wolfgang Watzinger and Anatol Ugorski.

My repertoire consists of compositions from baroque to presence, like Scarlatti, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Liszt, Prokofieff, Schubert, Debussy, Ravel, Smetana, Skrjabin, Messiaen, Ligeti and others.

Beside my soloistic concerts I work as a piano teacher in Payerbach / Lower Austria.
